Our wonderful area is full of caring and generous individuals who give their time, donations and support to charitable organizations in our area. It is so overwhelming and inspiring to see these organizations utilize these funds to support those in need within North Eastern Pennsylvania and our local communities. 

One of the organizations I have had the pleasure of having worked for is CASA of Luzerne County. CASA of Luzerne County is a local 501(c)3 located in Plains. Their unique and truly impactful mission is what brings over 300 attendees to their annual CASAblanca Gala. This year the gala will be held at the Forty Fort airport. The airplane hanger will be transformed into a stunning Moroccan affair with lots of great food and great people. Of course throughout the event there will also be reminders of what impact the party-goers support has on the organization and the children in need within the local community.

 As a previous chairperson and current committee member, I am humbled to be part of such a successful fundraiser. I am also a proud Lewith & Freeman real estate agent; Lewith & Freeman is a large sponsor of the event each year. When we all come together, great things can happen! Organizations like CASA of Luzerne County can surpass their goals which then translates to more local children in need receiving the support and love they deserve.
