When I first heard the voice of singer/songwriter Spencer Mackenzie Brown it reminded me of that first time I fell in love with peanut butter.

They're both smooth, the perfect mix of sweet and salty, and let's just say they both ignite the senses and leave a lasting mark on your soul.

I recently had the pleasure of hearing Spencer sing live and it was more incredible than ever. When I watched him play the guitar and effortlessly belt out cool notes it became obvious that this is exactly what he is meant to do. The passion behind his tonality and the lyrics is something I cannot explain. Thankfully there is video that can help accompany my explanation:

Lucky for all of you who just fell in love with his style, he will be playing right here in Luzerne County this Saturday January 12th at the River Street Jazz Cafe in Plains. Doors open at 8 PM and Spencer Mackenzie will be opening for Eliot Lewis of Hall & Oates!!

Spencer is a Kansas native who has lived in many parts of the country to perfect his craft and generate inspiration for new music. Recently he has reunited with family in Eastern Pennsylvania to join powerhouse Special Guest App which links talent with venues and more. They are the force behind this not-to-be-missed Saturday night show where he will be performing a blend of covers and originals like this one:

I am SO excited for this awesome event right here in NEPA! So in the end, this is a clear tie, Spencer Mackenzie Brown IS the human peanut butter. And therefore it can be said that for this singer/songwriter, the sky's the limit!
